Our English preparation schedule is very intensive, with classroom
activity 17 hours per week. Our NCLEX preparation schedule is slightly
more flexible but also very intensive, depending on the students base
of knowledge and quickness to learn. » 40. Can I enter the program if my English is at the beginner level? Yes, we have recently started offering training classes for beginners,
specifically designed to get you throug the testing. Of course, the
better your English, the faster you will pass the exams. » 41. What if I am working? Most of our teaching centers have evening classes available. Many
nurses will go on part time status or take time off for the intensive
English portion of the studies. After that, they resume their full time
employment while their immigration and licensing paperwork is processed
abroad. » 43. Is there a penalty for not passing the tests? No. We never penalize a candidate for trying and failing the exams,
even if they leave our program. The only cases where we will enforce
our contract penalties are where a. the candidate immigrates to the
United States but refuses to honor the terms of the contract, b. where
the candidate fails to show up or work towards meeting the terms of the
program, or c. where the candidate has passed the exams but refuses to
honor the terms the contract. In these cases we will need to recover
some of the vast expenses we incur on our applicants. » 1. What is the English language examination? It is called the IELTS exam. For detailed information, please click the link below. » 2. What is the NCLEX examination? It is a nursing skills examination required for U.S. licensure. For detailed information, please click the link below. » 3. In which language is the NCLEX given? The NCLEX exam is administered in the English language. » 4. How long does test training continue? For eligible candidates all IELTS and NCLEX training should take no
more than 10 months, perhaps sooner, depending largely on the English
level. For slower students, we allow up to 12 months to pass the
testing requirements, depending on the ability of the applicant to

Will my previous experience count? » 1. Who is eligible for the program? A hardworking, honest, motivated medical specialist with a nursing diploma and current nursing experience with a desire to live and work in the United States and with no history of criminal convictions or disciplinary action. » 2. How long will it take for me to start working in the U.S.A? This will depend on a. your ability to get through the tests quickly, and b. on the time of processing the paperwork at the various US agencies. In normal circumstances the whole process should last not more than 12-18 months from start to finish. Once you pass the tests, the administrative portion will be handled by us in the fastest time possible, and should take not more than 6 months. We pay for premium processing for all our clients immigration application, which saves many months of wait time. Note: Some specialty nurses will be qualified for faster work visas. These may get you to the U.S.A. a lot faster under a work visa. You then process your green card in the U.S. while working. (Please ask one of our representatives for details.) » 3. How will you assist me in getting to United States? Cambridge Staffing does all immigration and nursing documentation processing, preparation for English and nursing exams, travel to and from exam centers, travel to USA, training, and transition counseling. » 4. Do I pay money when I sign your contract? You will not be asked to pay money to Cambridge. We do not make money from candidates. All our fees are paid by hospitals. Cambridge assumes most of the costs associated with the program. All processing and immigration fees are compensated by the company. (You will need to pay for your own living expenses while studying.) » » 6. What does "screening" mean? It means verification of your ability to complete contract requirement in the specified term. The components we screen for are: a. motivation, b. English level, c. nursing knowledge and experience, and d. attitude. » 7. How do you conduct interviews? We first try to meet each candidate personally. The screening is done by phone or in person. We will sometimes conduct interviews online; and interviews with the hospitals are usually done on high quality video conferencing systems. » 8. What are the main requirements of the contract? To pass the IELTS and NCLEX in the term specified and to be eligible for immigration. Also, the contract requirement is to work 36 months for a US hospital. » 9. Can I choose in which hospital to work? No. Butbecause we are a large company with hospital contracts in all 50 US states, your requests for city of residence are usually accommodated, but not guaranteed. » 10. What if I do not qualify? You may be placed on a conditional acceptance and asked to attend additional training individually, after which you may be eligible to sign a contract. » 11. What does "processing" mean? Your need to get through immigration, English and NCLEX examinations, CES and Nurse State Licensure Board, and be placed for employment in a US hospital. » 12. What is the CES? A United States commission which verifies your nursing education (diploma) according to USA standards. » 13. What type of diploma is eligible? All nursing Associate Degrees (2 yr or 3 yr), Baccalaureate Degrees, and MD to RN Degrees are eligible. Feldsher and midwife diplomas have been rejected by CES » 14. What if I have a Feldsher degree? Many companies out there are telling people they may be processed with a Feldsher degree. This is not true! Feldsher diplomas have not been recognized by CES.You may enroll in special program, available in Ukraine, for Feldshers to obtain nursing Baccalaureate Degrees in 2 years or less. » 15. What is the Nurse State Licensure Board? A State commission which issues licenses to practice nursing in US. Each of the 50 U.S. states has its own licensing requirements. » 16. What is a full time job in US for nurses? For nurses in US, a full time job is 3 shifts per week. Each shift is 12 hours long. So for full time you must work 36 hours per week. Additional shifts are paid overtime and are readily available. » 17. What nursing experience do I need? Preferably, 12-18 months of full-time nursing experience in your specialization at the time of departure for the U.S.A. » 18. Does volunteer experience count? YES. Volunteer experience counts. » 19. What nurse specialties are in high demand area and what nurse specialties are in low demand area? We have all positions available, but high demand areas are subject to greater advantages, and in some cases faster visas. In high demand are: Medical-Surgical, Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical Operating Room nurses. In low demand are: Psychiatry, Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics (except Neonatal and ICU Pediatrics). Please ask one of our representatives for details. » 20. Will my previous experience count? All continuous experience counts. But you must have at least 12 months of continuous full time experience (36+ hours per week) at the time of departure to the U.S. ![]() ![]() Immigration

What is the CES VISA Screen certificate? 54. Can I take my family with me? 55. What will happen if I give birth after applying for my immigration to the U.S.A.? 56. What if I get married after applying for my immigration to the U.S.A.? » 44. Will you really help me get a Green Card? Yes. Nurses belong to a unique special category providing immediate
eligibility for green card issuance. This will give you all of the
rights and benefits of a U.S. Citizen, except for the right to vote for
President. (Under a unique program only available through Cambridge in
Ukraine, some highly selective positions will allow some of our
candidates to come on a non ca’ work visa, but they, too will process
their Green Cards once they get to the United States. Most applicants
will not qualify for these visas. No applicants will be processed for
work visas without their prior request and consent.) » 45. Will the non cap work visa make it more difficult to get a Green Card? No. It may make it easier. You will go through a process once you are
inside the U.S. border called вЂ˜adjustment of status’, which is
somewhat easier than an immigration application from abroad. Also, you
will start working sooner and making good money. » 46. How much are visa application and travel fees? The visa application fees are approximately several hundred dollars per
each child. Travel fees are the normal costs of air travel to the
U.S.A. that any travel agency will charge. » 47. Is it easy to get an Immigrant Visa? No. A candidate must pass all tests and education equivalency review,
and submit proper documents. But we do make the process a lot easier by
handling all of the rest. For this reason we only select the most
qualified and motivated candidates. » Is it easier for nurses to get immigration visa? Yes. Most immigration categories to the U.S.A. take many, many years to be approved. Nurses are one of very few categories of skilled workers that are eligible for fast immigration "green cardв" processing. They are also subject to obtain preferential for cap work visas, but these are for the most skilled nurses only, if they work in one of several specialty areas. Please ask a representative for details. » 49. Can I bring my parents or siblings with me? Unfortunately, no. You may only apply for immigration with your
immediate family, (spouse and children under 21 years old.) Your
parents and siblings may be brought over only after you move to the
U.S. and start a separate immigration application for them, but this
may take many years. » 50. Can I bring my parents with me? No. The above rule still applies. » 51. If I am married but my husband lives separately, can I include him in my immigration application? Yes. » 52. When am I eligible for an embassy interview to get a immigrant visa? After obtaining of CES VISA Screen certificate and Immigrant visa application approval. » 53. What is the CES VISA Screen certificate? It is a certification of appropriateness of nursing education and
skills for US standards. To get it, the nurse must pass the IELTS exam
and have the certified academic transcript submitted. Cambridge takes
care of all the processing. » 54. Can I take my family with me? Yes, you can bring your spouse and children under 21 years old with
your own immigration application. You all receive permanent US
residence and spouse gets the right to work in the United States.
Cambridge Healthcare will pay for the immigration application and visas
for the husband/wife and up to 2 children. (Additional children will,
of course, be processed, but we will ask you to reimburse us for visa
application and travel fees for the additional children.) » 55. What will happen if I give birth after applying for my immigration to the U.S.A.? Your newborn will be included in your application, but you must inform us immediately, so we may file the appropriate paperwork. » 56. What if I get married after applying for my immigration to the U.S.A.? You should inform us immediately. We will file the necessary paperwork
to bring your new spouse with you. If you wait until the end of the

What benefits will I receive in United States? » 22. Will I be placed in an undesirable job where U.S. nurses don't want to work? No. Due to the massive shortage of nurses in America, you will be
provided with a job in a good hospital working in an area of practice
of your choice. Usually we place our nurses in some of the most
prestigious medical centers in the United States. » 23. Will I be guaranteed a job in a hospital, or will you place me in a nursing home? Yes. You will be guaranteed a job in a hospital, and we usually provide several options. We have thousands of jobs available! » 24. Will you deduct any of our salary. No. We do not take any of your salary. We get our payment from the hospitals. » 25. Will I earn less than a US nurse? No. You will earn the same pay rate and benefits as a US nurse with equal experience. » 26. How much will I earn? It depends on the state and the amount of experience. A typical salary is between USD$45,800 and $68,600 per year. » 27. Why will I make less or more in different regions/states in USA? Earnings depend on different cost of living in various states. » 28. Who will pay for my expenses? You will pay for your expenses out of your own generous salary
(apartment, car, food, sending money home, tax, etc.) You choose how to
spend your money. » 29. What are the taxes in the United States? Tax laws in the U.S. are complicated. Typically, the employer pays a
portion of the taxes and the nurse pays a portion of her own taxes. The
amount of taxes depends on the number of children, medical expense
deductions, retirement plan contributions, and many other factors. We
estimate that somewhere between 18-25% of total salary is common. » 30. What benefits will I receive in United States? The Same pay rate and all other benefits as a US nurse with equal
experience (Medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid vacation, sick
days etc.) Some hospitals also offer their own benefits, such as child

31. Will my kids be able to go to school?
32. Will you help my spouse get a job? 33. Should my family come immediately or later? 34. Where will I live? Will you help me get an apartment? » 31. Will my kids be able to go to school? Yes, your kids will be eligible to go to free public school, or you may
choose to send them to private school. There is usually a good school
bus system that will pick your children up and drop them off at a
convenient place close to home. You will also be able to drive them to
school yourself if you choose. You will learn more in our orientation
program. » 32. Will you help my spouse get a job? No. We are not set up to help place non medical personnel. If your
spouse has a medical background, we will probably be able to help. But
we do not guarantee this. In any case, your spouse will be able to look
for a job abd start working under your immigration status as soon as
you arrive. » 33. Should my family come immediately or later? We suggest bringing your family to US 3-6 weeks after your arrival.
This will give you time to get settled. But this is entirely up to you. » 34. Where will I live? Will you help me get an apartment? Most people rent an apartment on their own, and pay for it out of their
generous salary. Our orientation program will prepare you for dealing
with housing on your own. If you need additional assistance, we will be
there to help. In some cases we will offer housing or a living
